‘Echo’
Lighting of the sails, Sydney Opera House 2024
A commission by the Sydney Opera house, ‘Echo’ is a 7 minute loop that was projected on the sales every night for from the 24 May- 15 of June 2024. Curated by Micheal Do, The work was made in collaboration with a team of animators: Chrtistian Heinrich, Andy Noonan and Julian Reinhold. Each scene texture was handmade in the studio before coming to life on the screen. We captured the choreography with a live action performance by Jasmin Lancaster wearing a pair of masks made in my studio. The score was composed by Angus Mills, with musical performances by Benjamin Freeman on Piano and Jack Doepel on Saxophone.
